Do you ever feel low, foolish, insignificant and worthless, even treated with contempt by others?

Then I, by the Spirit of God that lives powerfully within me, truly have good news for you today my friend.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted.

You might say how can you say this Hilmar? That´s because I know where I come from and where I´m headed and Who is enabling me on the journey.

Consider your own call, not many of you were considered to be wise according to human estimates and standards, not many influential and powerful, not many of high and noble birth. But God selected and deliberately chose what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame. And God also selected and deliberately chose what in the world lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are nothing.

Why does God do this?

That He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are. So that no mortal man should have any pretense for glorying and boast in the presence of God.

You might say but I have nothing and I´m not qualified to do anything. Then you are in a good place because God never calls the qualified, but He qualifies those He calls. Let me say that again, God never calls the qualified, but He qualifies those He calls! You just have to surrender your everything to Him and say, here am I send me, here am I use me.

The eyes of the Lord go back and forth the earth looking for unqualified people He can raise up and show Him self mighty on behalf of. Everything God gives you whether it is joy, fullness, happiness, good life, anointing and freedom is also that you might pass that on to others. The rivers of life that flow into you should also flow through you, unless you might end up like the dead sea with water just flowing in but not out. Instead of being weak you will now become a strong oak of righteousness and be planted by the rivers to forever give Him constant praise and that He might be glorified in you and through you.

Now you understand that you are called and ready to be used by God, but you might ask, used to do what?

Oh, the glory of being able to tell you the reason why today.

You are called and sent to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the physical and spiritual captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are around you and are bound.

You are called to bring consolation and joy to those that mourn and to give them beauty instead of ashes.

You are called to lead them from their mourning and sadness that comes from a heavy burdened and failing spirit.

You will, as God´s chosen one, anoint their head with the oil of gladness and bring joy and praise into their life. When you raise people up like that, they too will become strong oaks and a rebuilding of their lives will immediately start to take place.

This is a beautiful place to be in, where the sinner kneels before God and the restoration process begins. The sinner is pardoned and made pure and holy before God. But you might say I really want this to become a reality in my life Hilmar, how do I do this?

It´s simple really, you just need to talk to God and surrender your life to Him. Then you are ready and qualified to do the work of His kingdom. But how you might ask again, but how?

Well let me help you with that my friend and give you a prayer that you can pray today.

Let’s pray this together with honest hearts before the Lord.

God give me mercy from your fountain of forgiveness.

I know your abundant love is enough to wash away my guilt.

Because your compassion is so great, take away this shameful guilt of sin.

Forgive the full extent of my rebellious ways and erase this deep stain on my conscience.

For I´m so ashamed, I feel such pain and anguish within me, I can´t get away from the sting of my sin against you Lord.

Everything I did, I did right in front of you, for you saw it all.

Against you, and you above all, have I sinned.

Everything you say to me is infallibly true and your judgements conquers me.

Lord, I have been a sinner from birth, from the moment my mother conceived me.

I know you delight to set your truth deep in my spirit.

So, come into the hidden places of my heart and teach me wisdom.

Purify my conscience and make me clean again.

Wash me in you love until I am pure in heart.

Satisfy me in your sweetness and my song of joy will return.

The places you have crushed within me will rejoice now in your healing touch.

Hide all my sins from your face and erase my guilt by your saving grace.

Keep creating in me a clean heart.

Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please you.May you never reject me.

May you never take from me your Holy Spirit.

Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me.

Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say.

That I can show other guilty ones how loving and merciful you are.

They will find their way back home to you, knowing you will forgive them.

Oh, my saving God, deliver me fully from every sin.

Then my heart will once again be thrilled to sing the passionate songs of joy and deliverance.

Lord unlock my heart unlock my lips and I will overcome with my joyous praise.

The source of your pleasure is not in my performance or the sacrifices I might offer you.

The fountain of your pleasure is found in the sacrifice of my shattered heart before you God.

Thank you for the work you are doing in my heart today in Jesus name.

As you have prayed this prayer I want to pray over your life.

I ask God to pour out his oil of bliss on you right now and that you will be more anointed than any of your friends. I pray his holy fire over your life and that you might be set ablaze for him and be a fiery flaming minister of the gospel that is the good news. I just pray that you listen to his voice today as he is pulling you closer to him and that you hold firmly to your bold hope and be filled with new strength and confidence in him.

I pray that you will become a overcomer and that by becoming that you will gain access to the rivers of life and the tree of life to feast on it´s fruits. I thank God that he is just and has forgiven your sins and he will make a way for you to walk in his pure light and have an unbroken fellowship with him. As you do that you will be a light bearer to the people around you. Now today I proclaim that you will go out and share the kingdom of God and set people free around you.
